OUR HISTORY

Bureau Veritas was founded in 1928 with the objective of securing maritime transport by providing insurers with up-to-date monitoring of ships and equipment. We have thus created a new methodology for assessing the risks of ships and equipment.

We set up our first office in Dakar, Senegal

The strong development of marine and construction activities led the development of a new branch in Morocco.

Bureau Veritas became a world leading inspection and testing organisation for the commodities industry.
