Bureau Veritas Côte d'Ivoire celebrates world environment and oceans days

Jun. 12 2023

On the occasion of the Environment and Ocean Days, celebrated respectively on 05 and 08 June, Bureau Veritas Côte d'Ivoire participated in collaboration with the NGO 350 Côte d'Ivoire, in a Clean Up activity.

The activity involved cleaning up the LIDO beach in the Port-Bouët commune. Concerned about environmental protection and plastic pollution, BVCI teams did not hesitate to take part in this initiative.

For this clean-up activity, participants were divided into different groups, each assigned to a specific waste collection mission: Plastics, Shoes, Foam and Wood. Despite the pouring rain, the commitment and enthusiasm of our participants in this Eco Responsible activity enabled us to collect 12 tons of waste.

Alex Assale, Bureau Veritas Manager, Olivier Onillon, WAF District District Chief Executive and Bertrand Martin, Senior Vice President Africa, also took part in the activity. They congratulated the teams on their mobilization and reminded them of the importance of taking care of their environment. The event ended with a convivial lunch.

Many thanks to all our EcoTrustMakers who took part in this eco-responsible event, to preserve our environment and ensure the well-being of present and future generations.
